An open-plan great room anchors the cabane—panoramic windows framing every French 4 000m peak. Polished concrete floors meet reclaimed-wood beams; a suspended fireplace centres the space. Smart lighting adapts to sunset hues, while hidden speakers pipe in anything from jazz to avalanche bulletins. It is equal parts observation deck and cosy refuge.

Cuisine is bespoke, plotted weeks in advance with each party. The chef sources 90 % of produce within 200 km—think Valais lamb, Gruyère alpage, and heirloom vegetables from Rhône valley farms. Kid-friendly menus run parallel when needed. A curated cellar pairs Swiss wines with nightly courses; sabrage on the terrace is optional tradition.

A walnut-lined sauna overlooks the valley; snow plunges wait steps away. On request, a sports-massage therapist targets quads and calves after each touring day. Reading nooks, wool throws, and a high-end media system for evening films help guests unwind before dinner service. Guests step outside straight onto Europe’s finest lift-served terrain— first tracks guaranteed. After hours, the tracked Can-Am turns the mountain into a private playground for night skiing. Accommodation:

Accommodating up to 8 people, the cabin offers three refinedly designed double rooms on the main floor, as well as an additional bedroom, double or twin, upstairs. Thick mattresses, comfortable pillows, blackout blinds, silent ventilation, cotton linen and duvets ensure a restful sleep. The carefully equipped bathrooms with shower feature soft towels and high-end toiletries to offer you a moment of relaxation after a long day of skiing.

Getting there:

Tucked within Verbier’s lift-accessible terrain, Cabane Tortin is surprisingly reachable despite its remote feel. Confident skiers can descend directly from the summit. Others may snowshoe or skinfrom mid-station in under 40 minutes—while we transport luggage separately. For a dramatic arrival, guests can fly in: just 6 minutes from Sion, or 25–50 minutes from Geneva, Zurich, or Milan, landing beside the terrace.
